Pre-Revolution History
Before the Revolution, there was a small brand named San Cristobal de la Habana, which produced cigars until the time of the Revolution. It is completely unrelated to this new brand.
Post-Revolution History
Officially launched in Havana on 20th November 1999. Named after the original name of Havana back in the 16th Century. This is a completely new brand and is not a resurrection of the pre-Revolution brand with the same name.
Two new vitolas are made especially for this new brand: Paco and Gorgitos. There are four models, all named after a fort that defended the city in the old Spanish colonial days.
