Upmann’s foresight in recognising the potential of Cuban tobacco led him to establish a banking business catering to tobacco dealers and manufacturers, followed by the acquisition of a local cigar factory. This marked the inception of the H Upmann brand, celebrated for its quality and unique taste. Under the stewardship of Hermann’s nephew, Heinrich, the brand continued to flourish, introducing innovative blends, sizes, and packaging.
