The brand Quai d’Orsay was created by Cubatabaco in 1973 for the French tobacco monopoly SEITA.
Quai d’Orsay is the name of the Avenue in which the HQ of SEITA is located.
Characteristics of Quai d’Orsay cigars:
Quai d’Orsay cigars are characterized by mild tobacco taste and faint sugary sweetens, with superimposed subtle herbaceous flavors. All models are very similar to taste, except for Panetelas in which the herbaceous flavors overwhelm as the main impression.
It is interesting that the wrappers of recent Quai d’Orsay cigars are not particularly light as the cigar books say they should be, some of them could even be described as dark in color.
