Established in 1845 by brothers Antonio and Ramon Allones, the Ramon Allones brand stands as a pioneering force in the cigar industry. Operating from the La Eminencia Factory at 129 Animas Street, Havana, this brand has etched its name in history.

Remarkably, Ramon Allones is recognized as the first to employ color lithography for cigar box decorations. Furthermore, they innovated the cigar band concept and pioneered the ”898” packaging format. These groundbreaking contributions have left an indelible mark on the cigar world.

Over the years, the brand experienced various changes in ownership. In 1911, it was acquired by the British-owned ”Allones Limited.” Subsequently, in 1927, the renowned Partagas Factory took over, continuing the legacy of Ramon Allones cigars.

During the Cuban Revolution era, the brand was the Partagas Factory’s second most significant offering, trailing only the esteemed Flor de Tabacos de Partagas.

Post-Revolution, production of Ramon Allones cigars continued seamlessly, echoing the Partagas tradition. Both brands share similarities in robust flavors, shapes (vitolas), and packaging styles. However, Ramon Allones has always maintained a more exclusive, limited production compared to Partagas.

Characterizing the Ramon Allones cigars are their distinctive flavors. A harmonious blend of floral notes, exotic nuts, unique herbs, and a hint of honey sweetness, all layered upon a medium toasted tobacco base. This combination creates a complex, well-balanced profile. The hand-made varieties, when properly aged, are considered among the finest Havanas, epitomizing the ‘new school’ of Cuban taste.
