To commemorate the 50th anniversary of The Ocean Race, Ulysse Nardin has introduced a special limited-edition chronograph called the Ocean Race Diver Chronograph. This timepiece, revealed ahead of the Newport In-Port Race, not only serves as the official timekeeper for the race but also pays homage to the adventurous spirit, shared love for the sea, and commitment to its preservation of both Ulysse Nardin and The Ocean Race.
Encased in a 44mm sandblasted black DLC titanium case, the chronograph features a unidirectional rotating bezel with a Carbonium® finish. The bezel incorporates upcycled fibers from airplane fuselage offcuts, showcasing the brand’s dedication to environmental sustainability.
Sporting an electric blue, white, and black color scheme, the watch exudes a cool and athletic vibe. The sandblasted black dial is adorned with rhodium-plated indices and hands, all filled with Super-LumiNova. It also includes sub-counters at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions. The self-winding UN-150 chronograph calibre, visible through the open caseback, ensures a water resistance of 300 meters. The sapphire caseback and ceramic component of the rubber strap are both adorned with the “50” logo imprint.
Patrick Pruniaux, the CEO of Ulysse Nardin, expressed his enthusiasm for the launch, stating, “The new Diver celebrates this legendary sailing race, its commitment to protecting the ocean environment, and the research and marine conservation projects that Ulysse Nardin is proud to support.”
Limited to only 100 pieces, the Ocean Race Diver Chronograph will be available today at a price of $15,700 USD.
